Having spent the Summer at festivals with, and without the kids, I decided that for the Fortieth Birthday Party (that I wasn’t going to have) I would go for a Festival Themed Party and so needed a host of Festival Themed Party Ideas and so here are 10!

Now this idea doesn’t come without its challenges as my birthday isn’t in the Summer it’s in October and whilst the weather isn’t exactly guaranteed then, I thought – hey we are British – August wasn’t exactly sunny – this might work! So that’s what we are doing!

So I took to Pinterest and started searching for Festival Themed Party Ideas and these are a few of the things I came up with!

Disco Lights- 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

These disco bulbs are cheap as chips and brilliant to bring a festival themed feel to your party! Only £8.00 – they are a bargain!

Bar! – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

An actual light up, glowing bar!  Isn’t this amazing!  It’s called a Domebar and hire is available nationwide. As the night draws in (early in October) the lights come on and the party starts!  I particularly like the pink and can’t wait for my drinks to be served from behind this bar!

You can enter our competition below to be in with the chance of winning 24hr ‘dry hire’ of the dome for a party date of your choice (date is subject to availability!). Domebars look perfect for festivals, weddings, birthday parties and any other celebration of your choice.

Gin & Prosecco! – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

I’d like a selection of Gin for me and mine to try. It’s been a major thing over the last couple of years hasn’t it and I’m going to order some exciting new types from 31Dover with some fancy accompaniments.  I think the Collagin Gin is likely to be appropriate don’t you!

There also has to be some good tonic doesn’t there for the Gin – I’m a bit of a fan of Fentimans Ginger Beer myself!

Fairy Lights and Fire Pit – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

To make the garden more welcoming (it is October after all) I think I need some encouraging lights and maybe a fire pit!

Photo Booth – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

There is going to end up being a lot of photos I think over the course of the night. I have a lot of friends who like photography but there is also something very fun about a Photobooth isn’t there.  The kids are going to have so much fun with this too.  The more props the better.  The one we will be using is from Imperial Photo Booth based in Manchester.  It’s going to be a lot of fun.

Balloons and Decorations – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

Whilst I sometimes think less is more, on this occasion and due to the Festival Theme I think more is more!  I’d like a LOT of balloons to decorate the house. I love these ones!

Cake – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

There has to be a cake doesn’t there. Probably a chocolate one, although my favourite is Coffee Cake!

Outdoor Projection – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

As we have one I think it is time to dig out the BenQ outdoor projector and light up the back of the house with photos and jazzy lights!  You can buy them here!

Music – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

I’d love an eighties DJ but I think it’ll actually be a playlist through our Sonos speakers. Maybe, I might think again about this!

Food – 10 Festival Themed Party Ideas

Maybe Pizza, maybe some street food.  A van on the drive I think though – it’s not a festival if you aren’t queueing for food at some point is it!

NB: Some of these items are being provided to me for the party but all ideas have been my very own!

  1. Enjoy planning Karen! I had Tipplesworth making cocktails at mine for my 40th at the end of July… stocked up with fairy lights and candles for the garden only for it to pour down all evening… ended the night huddled under a shelter watching fuses blow in the fairy lights… who needs fireworks
Still, it was memorable, and spent with wonderful friends.. i couldn’t ask for more X

  4. Revs short for revolutions a card game where the person with the 3 spades starts and of you play the same card as last it skips the next person and you can always play a higher card than other person and also you can match the other persons card played like if they play 2 kings or triple 4 you can play higher or you can finish which is when someone else plays down a random card and for example someone plays triple aces and you have the last ace you would play that and the hand would clear and you get to play whatever and there are also straights for example playing 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 jack queen King ace and a 2 clears the hand so it advances to your turn
