So here are a few things (Essentials – well ish…) that I choose to pack to make my trip feel that little bit more luxurious. If I take these things on holiday with me then I feel like I am having a luxury trip even if I am holidaying with the kids!
10 Travel Essentials (!) for a Luxury Trip
Ultimate Matching Leather Travel Set
Its stunning! It’s been handmade using the softest, smoothest leather and in the matching set you get a Wash Bag, Make-up bag, passport covering and luggage tag in either black, gold, silver, bright pink or metallic pink. I opted for bright pink!
Each piece is soft and smooth in gorgeous leather, and for that additional gift quality you could even get them personalised!
Each set even comes with a 10 YEAR WARRANTY to give you peace of mind, and at the moment every bag that’s bought means a school bag is donated to a child in Cambodia or Nepal too.
£95 per set (unpersonalised) Ultimate Matching Leather Travel Set
Make Up
Now to some of you it might seem crazy to end up on holiday without make up but that’s what I’ve managed to do on more than one occasion since I had children. Not even a mascara had been packed despite what seemed like 30 types of sun tan cream for kids and mosquito spray. So I’m going to make sure I pack some make up, and some gorgeous make up at that!
It’s £60 direct from Charlotte Tilbury
Matching Underwear
I am however determined to pack some nice under wear as it makes me feel happier and my dresses fit better anyway. I really do like this ‘Maya’ underwear from Fantasie.
Swimwear
New lovely tankini and bikini bottoms from Fantasie (photo above). I love the feel of this swimwear, this Kiso Valley Monochrome swimwear. It’s priced from £71 and you can buy this directly from Fantasie.
Aurelia Skincare
MADE WITH LOVE in England from seed to skin using the purest, BioOrganic, ethically sourced, cruelty-free ingredients to make your skin glow. MADE WITHOUT a long list of questionable ingredients, including sulphates, parabens, mineral oils and MI to name only a few.
I’ve packed the miracle cleanser and going to pop the brightening botanical essence too!
You can buy the products here!
Leather Wallet
Technically a gentleman’s classic but with 6 card slots, 2 transparent ID pockets, a note compartment and a zip up section for coins. It’s been embossed with my initials on and it is going to be just perfect to take away. Great gift for ladies or men!
Books
Lots and lots of books and a Kindle too. I will have time to read and zone out and not watch the pool obsessively! It is going to be amazing and I am going to listen to them on Bookbeat (check out the one month’s free trial) read them on a Kindle (can’t believe they are only £59.99 now) and actually bring with me lots and lots of hard copies. Probably some of these Summer Reads as I haven’t got round to reading them all yet!
Travel Wallet
I have been lusting after a gorgeous travel wallet for a while and my good friends bought me a Aspinal of London travel wallet for my 40th birthday. It’s this beautiful grass green lizard and suede – really very beautiful indeed.
RRP £130 from Aspinal of London
Twist & Spritz
Twist & Spritz means you can pop your favourite perfume into a 8ml atomiser – meaning I can not only pack it this time when we have checked in luggage but I can take it in my hand luggage too.
Available from The Fragrance Shop for £10.
Sonic Toothbrush
I’m pretty obsessive about my teeth at home but when I go away I end up with a toothbrush stuffed at the bottom of a wash bag. Not this time. I really like the idea of this sonic toothbrush that is small and compact and will be kept clean whilst I’m away too!
RRP £30 from Boots, currently £15.
NB: I received some of these products to review, but not all. Some links may contain affiliate links which means I might make a few pennies if you use the links to buy anything! It won’t cost you anymore though either!
These all look fabulous, they’re all really pretty too. I’m very jealous!! I’m going to look into a couple of these items.
Great blog post Karen 🙂 It’s so lovely to see family travelling, some people think that once they are settled with a family they are unable to travel and stop doing so! This is inspirational to all of those kinds of people 😀 Thanks for sharing.
Great list! I love Charlotte Tilbury make up x
