So it’s that time of year that I start to panic about what I’m going to buy my husband for Christmas. He, thankfully, is as equally travel obsessed as me so at least I have a starting point, but he is tricky to buy for.
So these are 6 things that I think he would actually like/we would actually use! I mean why buy him something that I woudn’t want myself. At least this way it looks less obvious than trying to buy him some Mulberry luggage!
Go Pro Hero 5
At £325 on Amazon (RRP £350) this is not a cheap option, however this will be our third waterproof camera in two years and I really think we should have invested in this in the first place. No case is required, the quality is amazing (fab for the blog!) and its light, look cool and even sends the videos directly to the cloud! We’ve treated hubby to this for his Christmas and birthday present! Why not have a look!
Mini Hexa Phantom Drone
There are drones of all sorts types and prices. This is simply a ‘for fun’ drone. It isn’t a lets get lots of amazing videos of high up places and have a lot of control drone, but it is very good fun and can even be used inside for optimum chaos on Christmas Day! This one was give or take around £20-25 it was a gift from my husbands sister so I don’t actually know but you can get varying types!
Polk Boom Swimmer Duo (Bluetooth Speaker!)
We haven’t yet found decent and useful travel speakers! The Polk Boom Swimmer Duo is water, dirt and shock proof speaker, is designed to deliver fantastic sound in a small and portable package. The press images see people jumping off waterfalls and snowboarding off piste with it. I imagine our use will be a little less excitable, however I’m looking forward (I should say I’m sure my husband) is looking forward to using them near water without the worry the girls will drop it in! Needs charging after a few hours but seems good so far!
Olloclip 4 in 1 Lens for iPhone
Again this is a bit of fun. We take more and more photos on our phones and sometimes we just don’t want to take the large cameras out with us. The Olloclip is a quick-connect lens solution for smartphones that includes Fisheye, Wide-Angle and 2 Macro lenses that easily fits in your pocket. Olloclip 4-in-1 works on both the front and rear facing cameras and clips on and off the smartphone in seconds. You can even get it in Rose Gold (if I was buying for me not hubby that is!) for iPhone 6s & 6s Plus. RRP £69.99
Picture Keeper Connect
The picture keeper connect whilst it looks like more of a stocking filler than an actual main present (it isn’t it is £99.99) however it is one of those that you’ll probably end up using time and time again. I’ve actually just upgraded to a phone with a very large memory but if you haven’t then this will be invaluable and save all those ‘you can’t take any more photos/forget about vides messages’.
I took loads of videos of the kids nativity but I struggled to upload them to our cloud storage so I put this lead in, took the photos easily off the phone and uploaded them to the cloud easily from the computer. Perfect.
TomTom Adventurer
Last but not least the TomTom adventurer. This is one of those watches that will make the man in your life feel like he is a real man! It’s for all of his outdoor adventure sports that he can do, even if he doesn’t actually get round to doing them! I reviewed the watch here or if you just want to buy one, click here! RRP £269.
