Christmas on the Farm, Cotswolds Farm Park, Guiting Power, Gloucestershire

Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th November, Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December, Saturday 7th – Monday 9th December, Friday 13th – Monday 16th December, Thursday 19th – Monday 23rd December

Cotswold Farm Park is owned by Adam Henson from BBC Countryfile, perhaps the most well-known farmer in the UK. Meeting Santa at the farm park is a fun and relaxing experience with lots of time spent chatting with Santa.

My boys loved the elves who led the way along the path to a wooden door which they were asked to open with a big key. They also enjoyed choosing their own gift from a big selection in Santa’s toy room. The gifts were a really nice quality and age appropriate. My youngest picked a wooden bird box to make and paint and my eldest a gardening kit. We all enjoyed a full festive day out at Cotwolds Farm Park .

Tips for visiting Cotswold Farm Park

You need to book to see Santa asap as it’s a very popular event. Also make sure you wear lots of layers and wear wellies. The farm park is mainly outdoors and it can get very cold up there, even on a bright
day.

Archie and the Unicorn at Clearwell Caves, Forest of Dean

29th November – 24th December 2019

For a completely unique experience head under earth to Clearwell Caves in the Forest of Dean. The caves were originally mined for iron ore and now operate primarily as a mining museum.

We really enjoyed following the seasonal story trail and meeting the jolly Santa underground in the caves. Again my boys enjoyed selecting their own gift from a stall located next to Santa’s grotto. Make sure you give yourself enough time to browse through the underground Christmas stalls and enjoy a hot drink with homemade cake.
