There are many reasons to visit Majorca if you have young children however for me and my family the following points are the top 5 reasons why you should visit Majorca with Kids:

1. Affordable

Majorca is a completely affordable destination whether you put the trip together yourself and book flights and accommodation separately or whether you book a package holiday.  You can book high end hotels, apartments, reasonable villas and more.

We have plenty of reviews on the site for hotels such as Holiday Village and The Fergus Cala Blanca Majorca!

2. Bucket & Spade Beaches

We do love a trip to Greece but the beaches don’t always live up to the kids expectations when it comes to building sandcastles. They are often too white and powdery or rocky.  This is not the case with Majorca’s beaches. They are often proper hard sand, sandcastle beaches. A win for my three.

3. Short Flight from the UK

With a flight to Palma from the UK being around 2 hours, its an ideal flight time for travelling with children. Not long enough for them to get bored, just long enough for them to enjoy the excitement of flying and then you are there – ready to start the holiday!

4. Waterparks

There are waterparks everywhere you look in Majorca and all cater for all ages of kids. There is a fabulous one in Palma you can read about on My Travel Monkey!

5.  Food

You can eat amazing Spanish tapas ad authentic Majorcan food which is what I would always opt for, however when travelling with kids you can also buy English food very easily which should satisfy even the pickiest of tastebuds.  There is also always ice cream!
