Which Eurocamp sites are best for families?

Central France

Camping Le Capeyrou (Dordogne)

Camping Le Capeyrou small, intimate parc is set on the banks of the Dordogne River, beneath a majestic cliff-top castle made of limestone (don’t miss the guided tour!). On parc, there are only 100 tent pitches, because of its designation by the French government as a protégée (protected) area. Nicola from Globalmouse visited with her family and called it an absolute gem of a holiday park. You can read the full review Read More…

St. Avit Loisirs Campsite (Dordogne)

St. Avit Loisirs Campsite is a lush and leafy site is packed with outdoor pursuits for all the family to choose from, including tennis and quad biking. Rustic, stone-built Périgordin buildings house an on-site restaurant and bar terrace, which overlook an outdoor pool complex. The campsite offers a total of four pool complexes, including an indoor tropical-style swimming pool, a kids’ play pool and a lazy river. Otis & Us love their time there and you can read their full review of St. Avit Loisirs here.

Camping Le Port des Limeuil (Dordogne)

Beautifully situated at the confluence of the Vézère with the Dordogne River, Camping Le Port des Limeuil is one of the smaller Eurocamp parcs in the region.  This leafy parc has a more peaceful vibe than larger parcs nearby, and although it lacks the thrilling spaghetti of waterpark slides, it makes for a more relaxing holiday for parents with young kids. Read more about Camping Le Port des Limeuil

La Garangeoire Campsite (St Julien-des-Landes, Vendee)

La Garangeoire is set in a beautiful area of woods, meadows and lakes, just a 15-minute drive from the superb http://La Garangeoire Campsitebeaches that the Vendée has to offer. There are a range of pitches to stay on, offering space, shade and places close to the action. Dive into the large pool complex to find a covered pool, kids’ pool, waterslides and brand new lagoon pool plus sandy beach! Nell from Pigeon Pair & Me writes that people return to this site year on year and that La Garangeoire is inescapably French. The traditional stone buildings of the reception, bar and swimming pool hub are flanked by the woodland and lakes typical of the Vendée,
