Sharing is caring!

We are huge fans of Speke Hall here at Mini Travellers.  It’s our closest National Trust property and we go at least 4 times a year, probably more.

So if you haven’t been, why do we love it and keep returning?

1.Maze which is big enough for fun but small enough for them to run around in on their own (at least they can once they are 4ish!).

2. There is a fun playground.

3. The Giant Childe of Hale Trail – a fun trail with large instruments to play!

4. A woodland adventure playground with a zip wire!

5. Huge gardens to run around in

6. A fascinating house with trails that change frequently to entertain the children.

7. Events at every half term or holiday that focus on the kids.  We’ve been to sporty ones and character ones and the most recent one was Sleeping Beauty!  They also put on great theatre in the Summer – we loved Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.

8 Kids just love it!

To see more about Speke Hall why not take a look at our little video! We’d love a comment on You Tube to tell us what you think!

  1. The National Trust just get better and better for families, I love the play areas they now have and there is usually a themed trail to follow in the grounds at special times of year. I’ve seen posts from Speke Hall before and it looks great. #MondayEscapes

  2. We too love the National Trust and have a great property 10 mins from us plus a lot of coastline. We like visiting other properties when we are travelling round the country. Thanks for sharing Speke Hall it’s one we haven’t been to. Thanks too for hosting #MondayEscapes

  3. Speke Hall looks fantastic! We have many ‘big houses’ here in Ireland, most of them privately owned, and while some make huge efforts to welcome families, it’s not the same standard as National Trust properties in the UK.

  4. I love National Trust properties, there’s always so much for kids to do. It’s great having a place like Speke close by. I will have to check it out when we’re next in the area. #MondayEscapes

  5. So lucky to have such a wonderful NT property near you – looks beautiful! We haven’t got a car at the moment (city living, 12 month wait for a permit!) so it’s hard for us to go, but getting a NT membership is the first thing on our list the minute we get that permit through the post 😀
