On Saturday morning we met The Ordinary Lovely family at Erddig for another #UKexplore meet up. We had previously met up with them at Erddig for the Apple Festival in September which you can read about here, but this time it was for two reasons – to have Breakfast with Father Christmas (read all about this here!) and to go on the Alice in Wonderland Garden Trail.
After meeting Father Christmas we then spent a couple of hours wandering around the brand new Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland garden trail. The idea of the Alice in Wonderland trail is simple. You wander around the gardens with your map finding the different installations, whether this be a forest of mirrors, a huge Cheshire Cat or a table laid out for Supper. The kids love having something to find and I found the whole thing very nostalgic as I loved Alice in Wonderland as a child.
There are a number of fabulous carvings too by Simon O’Rourke who created the wonderful moving dragon the girls went on in the September.
Rachel’s little one wasn’t too well that morning so after finding all the installations on the trail they headed off home, whilst my three went back to their favourite hut in the garden to do some colouring. They spent ages colouring pictures of Alice before re-finding the fancy dress room and pretending to be the queen of hearts.
We left about 12pm with a warm glow. Thanks Erddig we had a lovely time.

Loved the table though have to say it looks like our normal kitchen table on an every day basis! (without the pretty teaware!)
