Sharing is caring!

On a beautiful sunny day in May, myself and my four year old twins made the (really quite long) journey from the Wirral to the Kent coast.  We took taxis, trains and what felt like every other method of transport to get there, but remarkably you can get from the Wirral to Kent by lunchtime – who knew!

We were in Kent because we had been invited by Regatta Outdoors to Quex Park in Birchington to Style a Tent!  In the weeks before the event we had submitted a Pinterest board with some ideas on how we might style the tent and here it is. My three girls are currently obsessed with Rainbow Magic books so I went with that as a theme.

On the day we turned up and after a change of clothes into this lovely Regatta dress and a stylish festival head dress, we set about ‘styling’ the tent.  It was a really fun day with lots of giggling and fun props

Well when I say ‘styling’ think throwing some bunting and colourful things at a tent. 4 year olds don’t really do ‘styling’ so to speak and it isn’t something I’m known for.

Lori of Wild & Grizzly and Katy of What Katy Said, made a much better job of their tents I’m sure you’ll agree when you see the competition entries, but me and my girls – well we did try!

So what did we use?

So apart from colourful accessories and a pineapple jug that’s clearly essential for cocktails; we had a 4 man tent, blow up mattress, sleeping bags, a table, a games table, tent carpet, picnic rugs, comfortable chairs for the adults and the kids, a couple of lanterns and a cupboard full of cooking equipment (all available from Regatta’s Camping selection!).

We think the end result looks pretty fab. What do you think??
