The perfect Covid- secure family day out?
If you’re anything like us, you may be really excited about restrictions easing, but have slight trepidation about mixing too much! Cue perfect solution – a drive through theatre experience.
We’re really excited to be taking our family to a car park party show in a few weeks time. We’re going to see a Horrible Histories show all about “Barmy Britain.” From all the belly laughs that I’ve heard since BBC iplayer have started streaming it (hoorah!) I know our boys are going to love it.
What shows are touring?
This Spring, Car Park Party and award-winning partners Birmingham Stage Company have three shows touring the country. Two Horrible History Shows, “Barmy Britain” and “Gorgeous Georgians and Vile Victorians” and David Walliams “Billionaire Boy – Live on Stage.”
The tour is nationwide, with shows in Newbury, Poole, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Bath, Shrewsbury Town, Uttoxeter, Bristol, Northampton, Knebworth, Chelmsford, Birmingham, Newark, Manchester, Leeds, Carlisle, Middlesbrough and Newcastle. The tour ends on 3rd May, so check out the dates soon to book a ticket at your local venue.

What can you expect?
Car Park Party’s live entertainment solution is a Covid-secure, socially distanced American-style drive-in experience at outdoor locations across the country. With ticket scanning through windows, socially distanced food & drink stands and toilet facilities, and a car parking system that ensures vehicles are safely distanced at all times, the tours offer peace of mind without compromising on the family fun!
What’s the price?
£42 per car
Or
£62 for a front row space
Ticket prices are per car, so you can have as many people as can legally fit in your car attend the show – per head that’s an absolute bargain price for live theatre.
This is such an easy sell to us. We love theatre, we love history, horrible histories is brilliant and it’s a bargain. We can’t wait!
