There is so much going on this Christmas in Liverpool 2022 from the Christmas Markets, to Liverpool ONE festivities, to family events and theatre!

Liverpool ONE
Liverpool ONE’s iconic 30-metre Christmas tree lights up the city centre again this year, for the 9th year running, and it is expected to attract thousands of people from all over Merseyside.
Bar Hutte
Nestled underneath the huge tree. Karaoke booths and benches. Book a spot for an hour and enjoy some live music, raucous karaoke or just a chat.
Christmas karaoke was universally voted our favourite hour of our Christmas day out in Liverpool.
Each booth is for up to eight people, and includes a complimentary welcome Bombardino and Christmas karaoke. Each hütte requires a non-refundable booking fee; £50 and this secures your exclusive use of the hütte for 1 hour, 45 minutes. More options available here.
Christmas Markets 2022
Liverpool’s Christmas Market is at St George’s Plateau against the backdrop of the magnificent St George’s Hall. Until 23 December 2022.
Market stalls, karaoke booth, drinks, food, kids rides and a huge big wheel!
Restaurants
Eat at one of the many restaurants in Liverpool, there are hundreds to choose from. There is also a new amazing food court at the Met Quarter called GPO.
GPO offers a wide variety of cuisines from across the globe and GPO will be championing independent regional vendors too.
GPO is powered by iBe Loyalty, a multi ordering platform, allowing guests to order from their seat or while shopping within Metquarter. Orders and payments can be taken by staff also.
Liverpool Ice Festival
Unfortunately Liverpool Ice Festival will not be returning for 2023!
The ice rink, ice slide, Christmas markets and outdoor German style bars are back on the waterfront with the backdrop of the world famous Three Graces. This year there are even more rides, including a new children’s rollercoaster. There are also plenty of options for food and drink. The Apres Lodge can fit up to 80 people in a warm and family friendly atmosphere. Snuggle up on the big relaxing sofas with a hot drink or mulled wine, and tuck into hearty food served up in the comfort of the indoors. Or head to the Bavarian Food Court to find a range of delicious food from a traditional German Bratwurst to freshly made crepes with plenty of toppings to choose from. Tuck into a tasty hog roast or simply grab a hot chocolate, coffee, tea or mulled wine.
The all weather ice rink is open for all ages and abilities, from beginners to experts. If you need a helping hand you can reserve a handy penguin skate aid. Check out opening times and ticket prices here.
It was a very busy Sunday afternoon when we went so perhaps follow my advice from a couple of years ago about Ice Skating in Liverpool and head to the Ice Skating early evening when it’s quieter.

In recent years my three loved the Ice Slides. I think because they were a little older and braver than our previous visit. The guys at the top spun them when they set off and they screamed with delight all the way down!
