I’ve been explaining how much I love Christmas and how Christmas has changed over on my new blog Mini Ventures this week. I love getting the tree up early and the Christmas celebrations can really start when it’s going up. The Christmas soundtrack goes on, the baileys can come out and the wooden nativity gets pride of place in the fireplace.
We always get a real tree. I just love how they look in the house. However there is no getting away from the fact that it can be a bit of a faff getting it home. However the lovely folk over at Pines and Needles have come up with a solution to this problem and deliver them to you. In London they have their own fleet of vans and dedicated team of enthusiastic specialists. Delivering tress in their kilts and their Santa hats in keeping with their Scottish heritage they would be difficult to miss. Up in the North of England they don’t offer this service (yet) but it was brilliant to come home from a days Christmas shopping on Wednesday to find a tree on the drive (I’d requested that it be left as I knew I was going to be out). I had been worrying a little that I was going to have a very very wet tree as the rain had been pretty epic that day, but the tree was helpfully delivered wrapped so my tree was dry!
The tree is an 6ft Nordmann Fir and is an absolutely gorgeous colour. We don’t go in for a colour scheme at Christmas in our house, it is all mixed decorations and ones the kids have made at that! We had a lovely early evening decorating the tree with the girls on Friday and got some of my favourite photos all year!
If you want to get your tree delivered by Pines and Needles, you can quote TRAVEL15 and get a Free Mini Tree or Holly & Mistletoe. The girls all got a Mini Tree to decorate too!
The girls dresses are from BHS and were a bargain £11 each as they were half price (not sponsored just saying!) and my gorgeous jumper is by Biba and can be found in House of Fraser.
NB: We received a Christmas Tree in exchange for this review but all views and opinions are my own.
This all looks very exciting and the girls look fabulous in their red dresses. Xxy
Your tree and your girls look absolutely gorgeous. We don’t have a theme either. The kids decorate it any which way they like and with lots of their homemade decorations too. As long as the lights are even ‘ish’, then I’m happy!
Karen I just love these photos they are adorable. I so miss having a real tree, but our fire gets so hot I am worried it would kill the tree or the needles would drop too quickly. But these really is nothing like a real tree. The smell is just gorgeous x
