Oh my word it is tomorrow! Tomorrow we find out whether cruising with children works, more particularly, cruising with my three children who are all under 5.
When Mumsnet asked us if we wanted to apply to go on a weekend cruise with Royal Caribbean we didn’t hesitate to say (well shout) yes please. When we found out it was on their new all singing and all dancing (literally!) new ship Anthem of the Seas, well we were then dancing at the prospect. So when we got the email to say we had been chosen, we squealed with excitement.
Since that time, we have been obsessively stalking the hashtag #AnthemOfTheSeas on twitter to see all the news, articles, videos and pictures about the ship. Do you know they build ships that are practically as tall as Big Ben? That are 11 times longer than Blue Whales? That have 2090 rooms. Neither did I, but I do now!
Did you know that you could watch a Musical on a Ship? I have to say I did not know that! However during our weekend we are going to be able to watch We Will Rock You! I absolutely love that musical so that for me will be a highlight.
However as well as all the excitement I have been wondering about all these things, and I know some are clearly a bit daft!?!
What will we wear? Will we get seasick? Will the children fall off the side (I know I know!) Will there be food that the children like? Will we get any sleep? Will the rooms work for us as a family? Will the girls be able to stay up late enough for us to enjoy all the Ship has to offer? What will be wear (that one again!)
So tomorrow we will find out. Follow us on twitter @minitravellers or on Instagram for lots of photos and tweets as we board the new Anthem of the Seas!
