How is it possible that someone so small requires so much ‘stuff’?! So I was delighted when Cuddledry sent us the Baby and Me washbag to test on our trip.

We recently travelled to Cape Verde for a week of warm weather (thankfully avoiding the UK snowfall!) and our packing list was even longer than other holidays we’ve taken with our baby!  This time on top of all of the usual baby toiletries we needed to include a few extra items that are much harder to get hold of in an emerging economy like Cape Verde.  It meant we needed amongst other items, teething gels, travel calpol and huge amounts of factor 50 suncream.  All of those lotions and potions take up a reasonable amount of space and so I was delighted when Cuddledry sent us the Baby and Me washbag to test on our trip.

I’d not thought about buying a toiletry bag for our son and my toiletry bag has seen it’s fair share of exciting trips and if I’m honest is starting to fall apart – so I was keen to try something new.  The Baby and Me washbag has two compartments, each with a wet and dry section, providing space for both of you.  The sections are colour coded and the ‘me’ section also includes two 100ml plastic bottles, useful if you want to decant anything larger.

The bag is a really good size, in fact I was surprised by just how much we could squish in there. I liked that it opens out completely so it’s easy to see what you’ve packed.  The inside is also wipe clean and light so again, it’s easy to see where everything is – no more dark corners of toiletry bags!  The whole bag is really good quality, the lining doesn’t feel like it’s going to fail easily and the zips are sturdy.

If I was to suggest an improvement it would be that the wet section would be a little larger.  It fitted everything in – just – but a bit more space would have been useful to fit wet flannels in.  I’m also not sure how necessary the 100ml bottles are as I tend to buy travel size.

Overall Baby & Me washbag

Quality: it’s well made with strong zips and sturdy fabric.

Design & functionality: There’s enough space for two people to use, although more space in the wet section would have been helpful.

Value for money: I think the product retails at around £25 online.  We were given a complimentary baby & me to test for this review.  I don’t buy toiletry bags that often but £25 feels a little expensive for this product, I think I’d actively look to buy it at around the £20 mark.
