This high-energy contemporary dance show is set in the brilliant Piccolo venue in George Square Gardens. It’s a modern dance performance pared back to a minimal set (just a sofa and a few props) and three performers. The dancers were amazing, we couldn’t quite believe their energy and talent. Their energy didn’t drop for the entire hour as they filled the stage with their interpretation of friendship. The music is really compelling with a mixture of jazz and funk.
Although I really enjoyed the show I did feel that it wasn’t suitable for all children, especially young ones. I think for optimum enjoyment children would need to be dance fans to get the most out of Donuts.
It was quite long for some young people, but I’d recommend for fans of contemporary dance.
