With many of us missing an Easter Holiday last year we thought we would put together a list of some of the best Eurocamp sites you can visit at Easter.
Eurocamp was a firm family favourite when I was growing up. I have fond memories of long drives down through France to get to a site, the excitement of finding our tent or our caravan, of kids clubs and trips to the Boulangerie for breakfast, and of swimming pools and lakes to swim in. Eurocamp sites still provide all that but they also provide much much more too!
Not all of the Eurocamp sites are open at Easter, many don’t actually open until Mid May, but some are open for what is often call the Full Season, and they tend to be some of the most fun ones for families.
If you re-adjust your expectations on weather – you’re unlikely to be sunbathing in a bikini on the beach – then an escape to the warmer climes of Europe for a fun active Eurocamp trip might be just the ticket. The sites recommended below for Easter often have a lot of other activities, and are more likely to be based near cities for fun trips, than beaches for sunbathing.
So which Eurocamp sites can you visit at Easter?
What about this Packing list for Eurocamp with Kids??

Eurocamp at Easter
La Vallée Eurocamp (Normandy)
La Vallée Eurocamp is a glorious rural setting close to magnificent sandy beaches and scattered with flowers and fruit trees. With non-stop activities, La Valllée has everything you could think of. Ian and Emma writers from Mini Travellers says, ‘The kids clubs were a roaring success and we were surprised by how much there was on offer to children of all ages. Our two year old was able to go to Mini Fun Station Plus (up to 5 years old) sessions accompanied by an adult and she enjoyed playing musical instruments, singing, painting and playing games.’

La Croix du Vieux Pont Campsite (Paris)
La Croix du Vieux Pont Campsite will help you discover the hidden charms of Aisne Valley and is just over an hour away from Disneyland Paris! Two Monkeys Travel Group says, ‘The amount of equipment provided at the Mini Paradise Parc was impressive. It enabled us to pack much lighter and saved time and effort at both ends of the journey. We chose to have a high chair, booster seat, travel cot, bed guard, baby bath, potty and changing mat which were all in good condition and free to book! ‘ You can read the full review here! We also visited ourselves in 2019 and you can see our video below!

Netherlands
Duinrell Campsite (Wassenaar, Holland)
Duinrell has 1 km of covered waterslides! It’s a theme park offering white knuckle thrills for older kids as well as gentler pursuits for little ones. Best of all, rides in the amusement park are free to Eurocamp customers. There’s also a fantastic beach nearby and Amsterdam is just 40 minutes drive away! Kiddieholidays had a great holiday there. Beekse Bergen Campsite (Hilvarenbeek, Holland)
Beekse Bergen Campsite is a holiday at a theme park and also close to a great beach. If you stay for 3 nights or more, you get free access to the safari park on site and the Dierenrijk kids’ zoo. There is also go-karting, water bikes and bouncy castles at the Speelland theme park. The parc’s lakes, canals, and nature trails are also perfect for relaxing or you can take a dip in the lakeside beach like What Katy Said. You can Read More… from Katy in her full review.

Spain
Vilanova Park Campsite, Costa Dorada
- 5 Stars from Eurocamp
- Rated as Very Good on Trip Advisor
- Large – 1413 Pitches
- Leave the car at home and fly into Barcelona (there is a train every 15 minutes from Barcelona centre to Sitges or a bus service)
- Keep the kids occupied with a round of crazy golf on parc
- Test your lungs out at PortAventura theme park
There are 2 pool complexes on Vilanova Park which receive good reviews. There is a shop and take away, which both receive fair reviews, but unfortunately the restaurant is not so favourably rated. For Vilanova Park Eurocamp suggest a car is optional. However, it is worth bearing in mind that the nearest beach is 4 km and the nearest town is 3 km. The nearest airport, Barcelona is 41 km away and recommended post, Bilbao, is 576 km away. There also doesn’t appear to be a kids club (not mentioned on Eurocamp site) but there is a night time entertainment program and a site-run kids club for smaller children according to reviews.

Playa Montroig Camping Resort (Miami Platja, Costa Dorada)
Playa Montriog is nestled in subtropical gardens alongside Costa Dorada’s sandy beaches. It’s also beautifully landscaped and is brimming with first-class facilities, like its stunning pool complex with four pools, including a lagoon-style heated pool and one with six waterslides. Both Mummy from the Heart and Monkey and Mouse had great trips to Playa Montroig. Jenny says “It’s a particularly good choice for families who are looking for somewhere easy to entertain the kids, but also never too far from local sights.” Take a look at their full reviews:

Italy
Camping Village Fabulous (Rome, Central Italy)
This Italian gem Camping Village Fabulous is 8km from the beautiful Ostia coast and surrounded by 70 acres of pine forest. There is also public transport on the doorstep to take you straight into Rome. Our Mini Travellers who visited Camping Fabulous in Rome loved it as a base for exploring Rome and said with a family I don’t think you could choose better, I could not imagine having to go back to a hotel room after a long day out and trying to occupy the young ones. What Eurocamp offer you is the perfect mix of proximity to Rome and comfort for all. Read the full review here.

Bella Italia Campsite, Peschiera, Italian Lakes
Bella Italia is a popular recommendation. It lies on the south eastern tip of Lake Garda so is in a beautiful location. You couldn’t pick a place more perfect for kids who love fun and anyone who loves sightseeing. Mini Traveller Louise recently visited Bella Italia and says, “Bella Italia is huge! On first arrival it seemed a little daunting but its friendly staff and extensive facilities quickly made it home. If you come to visit some of Italy’s most famous and beautiful places, it’s perfectly situated; 20 minutes from Verona, around 2 hours to Venice and Milan with lots of local options to explore and soak up the ambiance.”
From the campsite there is direct access to the lakeside beach, although the fabulous pool complex with its four pools (including children’s pool, lagoon pools and waterslides) offers loads of fun for all ages. The parc runs its own kids club. At weekends throughout June, July and August, the ‘animatore’ provides a variety of entertainment too! Off parc, the cycling path between Mantova and Peschiera (also within walking distance) runs past the entrance.
Facilities at Bella Italia are comprehensive with a variety of shops including a reasonably priced supermarket, fruit and veg, clothes and toy / souvenir shop in addition to the pool side offerings of fast food, ice cream and sorbet lollies. One evening a local mini market arrived, selling various souvenirs and clothes via local trades people.
