Chester Zoo is a fun family day out all year around. No matter what the weather is like, there is always something to see and do at Chester Zoo. In fact, one of our favourite times to visit the zoo is when it is raining. Here’s all of our reasons why Chester Zoo is brilliant even on a rainy day:
Winter At Chester Zoo
Winter is one of our favourite seasons at Chester Zoo. We always find winter at the Zoo a lot quieter and because of this you can experience more one on one time with the animals. The talks and experiences are also more exclusive and there is no queuing for anything. Here’s some of our favourite reasons to visit Chester Zoo in Winter:
Winter also usually plays host to some festive events. In December, Chester Zoo turns into a Winter wonderland and families can enjoy beautiful lantern magic throughout the park. Another one of our favourite events, that is held annually at the zoo, is the ‘Enchantment At Chester Zoo’. Put on by the incredible ‘Wild Rumpus’ crew, The Enchantment of Chester Zoo is full of adventure, acrobatics, music and discovery. During the event you learn lots about some of your favourite animals and as it usually takes place in October, there is also a sprinkle of Halloween sorcery.
