Sharing is caring!

In 2016 I signed my eldest daughter Lily (then 5) up for free lessons with the Lawn Tennis Association. It was a 6 week course called ‘Tennis for Kids’ at a local tennis club on a Friday evening after school.  She was initially worried about going and it took me ages for her to explain to me why she felt ‘scared’ in her words about going to try Tennis. Apparently it was because we had watched a lot of Andy Murray on the TV and she thought the person on the other side of the net to her was going to be hitting the tennis balls at her at the same speed as him and she wouldn’t be able hit it/or would get hit in the face with the ball – which would hurt!  Bless her.

Lily loved her tennis lessons last year and was really keen to play again this year.  When the LTA asked if she would make a little video with them to help launch their Tennis for Kids programme this year she happily agreed!

All you need to do is log onto the Club Spark website, pop in your post code and find your nearest course.  It’s that easy. If the kids attend for all 6 weeks and complete the course, they get their very own racket at the end!

There are 20,000 spaces available up and down the country and anyone can sign up their 5- to 8-year-old’s for free lessons via the ClubSpark website. Lessons start from 22nd April so have a look as soon as possible and get your kids signed up!

What’s not to love.

I’m working with the Lawn Tennis Association and BritMums in a paid relationship, highlighting the #TennisforKids programme and the FREE tennis lessons for children available at local tennis clubs across the UK. Find out more here.

  1. Aw Karen that is such a lovely vlog you all look so fab on it, its a great initiative too just such a shame it stops at 8 years old I would have loved to get Joe involved. Although goodness knows where we would fit it in between football and Taekwando x
