Sharing is caring!

Down at Delamere Forest and plenty of other forests across the UK the Forestry Commission has launched the Gruffalo Trail. On the back of the success of the Stick Man trail last Winter, this is a really simple idea to encourage more people into the deep dark woods. It isn’t fancy, and there needs to be quite a lot of imagination involved, but there is enough to keep your Mini Travellers engaged and hunting for all their favourite characters.

This photos scrolling above say it all I think. We acted like snakes, collected sticks and made pictures of owls, found the mouse, the owl, the fox and of course the Gruffalo and at the end ate fantastic ice creams.  With only parking to  pay for in the car park, it is a lovely cheap day out this summer. We can’t wait for Gruffalo’s child in the Winter!
