Every September some 40,000 volunteers across England organise 5,000 events to celebrate fantastic history and culture. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.

So where can you find the Heritage Open Days 2018?

There is a really useful search page on the website where you can put in your postcode and the type of event you’re interested in.

You can search for how far you’re prepared to travel and there is even a box to tick for children/family activities to narrow your search.

This weekend for 2018 looks set to be really rainy so it might just be the perfect thing to do.

Why not take a look!
