I have been challenged by Travelodge to tell my readers about a hidden gem in Liverpool. The hidden gem that I want to talk about is Oh Me Oh My. Actually described as A Secret Place on their website, the bar and restaurant is steadily growing in popularity but what is less well known (even to people who have been to a number of events there) is the rooftop space.
To access the rooftop bar you need to take a lift to the top of the building. What you find there is a collection of tables, deckchairs and benches; sun cream in the summer and blankets in the winter. But it is the view that is the most surprising. You are literally across the road from The Three Graces and the view of them and across the Mersey is incredible. I actually saw this view for this first time one early evening in October when I attended an AGM on the ground floor. I had been quite a few times before for afternoon tea or lunch (both really very good) and also to an engagement party and a corporate do, but had never realised what I had missed.
The person chairing the meeting suggested I took a drink and make my way up to the top floor before the meeting started and I was genuinely taken aback by the view. We were lucky as it was an incredibly stunning October evening and as the sun set, the sky became pink then orange then red.
I will definitely be taking the kids back to see the view of The Three Graces and the Mersey. It’s a view they have seen from the ground many times but you can’t appreciate the true majestic quality of the buildings until you can see them at that level.
Definitely a hidden gem that needs to be discovered. To find more Hidden Gems take a look at this Destination Guide.

Oh I love this Karen, I have been wanting to go to Oh Me Oh My for the longest time! We never seem to make it when we are in Liverpool, it definitley sounds like a hidden gem and I’ve heard the rooftop terrace is amazing!
Sounds like you get an amazing view, but what are the Three Graces?
I haven’t been here you know so will really have to look it up. Perhaps we could do a sneaky night out! x
Oh my word!!! I had no idea that existed. What an amazing view. My brother’s uni apartment wasn’t too far away and he had a similar albeit not quite as good view. Liverpool’s amazing, isn’t it?! x
I really need a trip to Liverpool I have never been into the centre can you believe x
