So is it worth taking kids to the Ice Bar in Liverpool during the Liverpool Ice Festival?
Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival has created an ice bar again this Christmas. It’s -28 degrees inside which is incredibly cold. It suggests on the website that you don’t need to worry about catching cold because the only thing super-chilled in this bar are the drinks. However the promised poncho (to keep the cold out) hadn’t been delivered when we visited on 30th November so perhaps check before you book.
It’s fun a definitely unique with fun sculptures and a bar, table and chairs carved from real ice.
Is it worth taking the kids? They get orange squash from a ice cup which they enjoyed (you get a cocktail shot!) – but we must have only been in for ten minutes of the 30 minute slot. It really was too cold. So for £5.50 each for ten minutes – you need to decide for you.
Opening Times:
Sunday – Thursday: 12pm – 9pm (Last Entry) – Close 9:30pm
Friday & Saturday: 12pm – 10pm (Last Entry) – Close 10:30pm
Prices: Admission – 25 minutes (Poncho & Cocktail Shot)
Adult – £7.50
Children 17 & Under (Must be accompanied by an Adult) – £5.50
Ooohhhh….. that sounds very different and exciting too! At least at this time of year you’d have had warm clothes on anyway, as they didn’t have the ponchos!
