After our Ice Skating, Ice Sliding and Ice Bar visit on Thursday in Liverpool, we were booked in for dinner at Viva Brazil.
I’d heard of Viva Brazil but with its focus on meat (16 different types at that) and a salad bar, I really didn’t think it was the sort of place the kids would like. I couldn’t have been more wrong – they LOVED it.
Kids can pick a dish from the kids menu, with options like fish sticks and french fries or sausage and mash, or they can choose Full Rodizio menu with 16 different BBQ meats. I was surprised that mine decided to go for the Rodizio as they aren’t known for trying new things, but I think the idea of the waiters coming over and them taking the meat off the skewer, persuaded them it would be fun to try. They were right and I was so impressed at the variety of meets they tried, only refusing the chicken heart (ddin’t blame them) and the chilli chicken. They absolutely loved the chicken wrapped in bacon, the perfectly pink lamb and seemingly the most expensive melt in your mouth cap of rump steak. They have now decided they want this to be a weekly meal at home (sadly it won’t be!).
Whatever menu they choose, the kids also get a soft drink, and a dessert or a milkshake is included too! The milkshake is a full dessert in itself! I was surprised my 6 year olds could eat anything when they polished this off before they started on the meat!
The salad bar is also a meal in itself and whilst the kids didn’t want any actual salad they did enjoy the rice, bread, mad potato and salami cuts. I enjoyed the various dips and pasta salads too.
Prices during the day are exceptional value for money, but what surprised me the most about this whole experience is that kids under age of 10 will eat for free with each full paying adult at all times!
We will definitely go back to Viva Brazil!
