Today we went on another of our Christmas day trips to the wonderful Chester Zoo.  We love Chester Zoo and friends who had been to see the lanterns last year said it was a trip not to be missed.

Today with the rain pouring down, and the wind blowing, I was considering not bothering.

I’m really very glad we did though as the experience really was magical.  Take a look at our photos (just scroll through the images at the top of the post!), although they really don’t do it justice! For more details on the parade, see Chester Zoo’s website.

  1. Wow, that looks like a spectacular sight to view. I love the animal shaped lanterns specifically the tiger one, very detailed. Were the lanterns life size? Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
