Lazy Days in Autumn

After a very busy week and long day in Blackpool the day before, we decided to have really lazy Autumn morning where pyjamas were worn until lunchtime and then just to head out on the hill behind our house for a walk in the woods. The girls kicked leaves around with their new Bobux Splashboots on and played in the trees and I practiced taking photos with my new camera. In the interests of disclosure these photos haven’t been taken with my new camera, but by my much cleverer husband with his DSLR!

The Splashboots are perfect for us as they could easily be worn to a party as well as for jumping in puddles and my girls love to do both! At £60 a pair they are slightly more expensive than some boots but having had suede boots last winter that didn’t really stand up to the snow and the rain, I know these will be well worn and worth the money. All the coats we are wearing are by Uniqlo and having been asked to take a look around their site I can’t believe I’d sort of forgotten about them. I used to buy their jeans all the time and don’t know why I stopped. All the coats and jackets they have for kids are really cute and excellent value. They are definitely going to bridge a gap between summer and winter coats, as they are warm but lightweight. The red, white and blue ones were all £24.90 so really very good value. My parka is going to be perfect for the school run and was £89.90. It will fit over big jumpers for winter and pulls in tighter for warmer days. The hood is huge and I love it. It is going to keep me dry in the driving winter rain!

  3. Love those boots! I am thoroughly fed up of pink impractical ones which assume that girls would shriek at the sight of a puddle. How are they to get on? I also haven’t yet found a pair that doesn’t involve a lot of wriggling and swearing.
