Welcome to Monday Escapes on Monday 13th March. I’m in total holiday planning mode at the moment with a trip to Wales coming up at Easter, together with a 3 night stay in a motorhome near Alton Towers, and I have finally pressed book on our flights to Rwanda.  Here are 5 Reasons we are definitely going in May! Corsica and Lapland are coming up later in the year too. I think I have a thing about travel don’t you!

So last time it was Monday Escapes I had just come back from Portugal and you can find my review of Martinhal in Chiado here if you’d like a read.  We also made a little video of a fab day out to Sintra!

We are absolutely delighted to link up with Lonely Planet to offer our number one favourite blog post of the fortnight either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range.  (See T&C’s below). Just another great reason to link up with Monday Escapes!

Monday Escapes is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others. It doesn’t have to be about a trip abroad or even be a written post. If you want to share your favourite snapshots – whether it’s a famous sight, scene, dramatic view or even a favourite family photo, then please feel free to link those up, too. Likewise, posts don’t have to be about holidays or weekends away, they can also include day trips, walks, attractions – any travel experience that you want to share.

I absolutely love this post the photos are simply stunning and it makes me want to book a trip Scotland and do this exact route this summer! 

I also really enjoyed reading about Four Acorns day out walking, and can’t believe the photos are actually take on an iPhone as they are brilliant.

Sarah thought Vicky’s post highlighting the best views of London is a must for a visitor and the Sky Garden is firmly at the top of her wish list after making it up the Shard last week. 

Sarah also loved Elizabeth’s tour of Epernay which made her want to book a crossing to France right now, we love Champagne, who doesn’t? And what a wonderful way to spend a couple of days.
