Good morning and welcome Monday Escapers. I have had such a lovely sunny weekend and loved it all.  We had 6 kids for 24 hours as we babysat the cousins overnight and we all had a fantastic time on the beach yesterday and in the garden today.  I got some lovely gifts for Mother’s Day and I hope any Mums reading out there got throughly spoilt too.

I am full in planning mode for Easter now as I’ve just realised the kids finish school on Friday.  The plan is a motorhome for 3 nights, family coming to visit, and a trip to the Swansea area of Wales!  Let’s hope for some weather like this weekend!

I also spent a lovely evening last week with your host of Monday Escapes today, Sarah of Extraordinary Chaos at the refurbished Mercure Haydock.  We shared a few glasses of fizz and enjoyed the street food they are going to be serving their soon!

What is Monday Escapes?

Monday Escapes is a place to link up your travel memories and is hosted by me, Sarah at Extraordinary Chaos (who is hosting today) Lisa at Travel Loving Family and Claire at Tin Box Traveller.
Monday Escapes is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others. It doesn’t have to be about a trip abroad or even be a written post. Lisa loved this post – An Indian Adventure – by Danielle from Severn Bites. As a professional bread maker Danielle travels around the world seeking inspiration for her cooking. Her holiday in Kerala, India, looks incredible and makes me want to return for I barely scratched the surface of what the area offers during my one day cruise ship visit!

Lisa also loved this post by Wandermust Family featuring the couples pre pregnancy and pre parenthood travel bucket list. The gorilla trekking in Uganda and Rwanda sounds pretty epic and we can’t wait to do that later this year!

Claire particularly enjoys reading articles that make her think differently about a destination that she believes she already knows. She selected this post by Smart Mouse Travel as it made her want to go back to Las Vegas with her kids – Las Vegas with Kids, No Really!

Claire also enjoyed reading this comprehensive city guide to Ronda, Spain – 5 Reasons to Visit Ronda, Spain. The guide, written by the Topsy Turvy Tribe, features all the best historical and child friendly places to visit in the city.
