Welcome to Monday Escapes on Monday 28th November. I have spent all week trying to sort out trips for 2017 (tis a fun job being a travel blogger) and I am now in Paris for 3 days! Without the Kids! So exciting!
What have you all been up to?
Monday Escapes as I’m sure you all know by now, is a place to link up your travel memories We host #MondayEscapes every two weeks and we now have a fabulous sponsor Lonely Planet. Lisa loved Mandy’s article featuring droolworthy food photos from her homecity Atlanta travelling through to her old hometown, Savannah! She thought she was imagining it when she saw some of her old favourite restaurants pop up on her computer screen!
Things to do in Chiang Mai by Five Adventurers
Nisbah from Five Adventurers has inspired Lisa to add Chiang Mai to her ever growing travel wish list. She particularly loves the idea of planting rice in the paddy fields, visiting the floating night markets and making paper out of elephant poo!
California Globetrotter with The Delectable Town of Bacharach
Claire enjoyed Lorelei’s tour of this delightful German town which has given her a taste for returning to the Rhine Valley. Her photos are chocolate box perfect.
and finally Jonny’s recollection of a visit to this remote Portuguese castle and his return a decade later with his wife and family of four was a great read. We’re intrigued to find out what happened to ‘the pirate’
