Center Parcs is a family favourite for holidays here in the UK. There are activities available all year round both inside and outdoors, but the big question is; Which month is the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Here we have reviews from bloggers who have visited throughout the whole year to help you decide:
January – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Tracey, from Williams World Whinfell says “Sunday was a special day for 2 reasons. The first reason it SNOWED, and the second it was Katie’s 9th Birthday. What a fantastic surprise for her. We had a lovely morning in the lodge, watching her open her presents, building snowmen and throwing snowballs.” Read more HERE
Ali from Mum in a Nutshell says ” Go out of season [it] is always going to be cheaper. January seems to be the cheapest time of the year to go. Don’t be put off though by the thought of going in Winter, there’s still so much to do. If you’re not tied to school holidays you can get a midweek break for a really good price

February – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
We’ve been to Center Parcs in February; it’s a little warmer than when we’ve been at Christmas and less busy too (although we did avoid half term as we went before the kids were in school). For me Center Parcs might be the perfect place to go in February. You can get a good deal, the weather can be kinder than some months but if it pours it down you can escape to the Activity Dens and Swimming Pool for entertainment for the kids. You can read Mr Mini Travellers review of Center Parcs and why you have to HERE.
March – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Katy, from What Katy Said Woburn says “After our dinner we took ourselves outside to take a few family photos before the sun went down. Honestly we couldn’t have been luckier with the weather – just glorious! We then went bowling, only the second time the girls have been, and had such a laugh!” Read more from Katy HERE
April – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Nicola from Iamcrabstix says “A great place to go with kids for a short break and to feel relaxed! Swimming is absolutely brilliant as are the outdoor areas if the weather is right for it…It tried to snow a few times while we were there” read more HERE
May – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Becky from Baby Budgeting says “We had pretty good weather on our trip though and there was so much to do. The lovely beach was near our villa and a big hit with my daughter. Annalise loves sand and kept asking me to take her back to the ‘seaside.’ How cool to have a tropical pardise, a forest and a seaside all on one holiday” Read more HERE
June – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Collette from Going on an Adventure says “Our much looked forward to weekend at Center Parcs in Whinfell Forest fell on a fairly grey and damp weekend in June. I was bothered that the miserable weather might spoil our fun but I needn’t have worried – there’s so much to do at Center Parcs come rain or shine and with the Village Centre being undercover at Whinfell Forest you can stay indoors for most of the day if you want to!” Read more HERE
July – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Emma a guest contributor to Mini Travellers does not recommend going in July “It was SO busy. Before you say it, it was the first weekend of summer … but people told me that because of the clever layout it wouldn’t feel as busy as it was … I’m afraid it did. The worst place for this was the pool, where you couldn’t walk anywhere without having to squeeze past people.” Read more HERE.
August – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos says “As the weather was great with the exception of one rain shower we took the opportunity to hire a pedalo on the lake, the boys were desperate to pedal but didn’t last long, it was just to hard work for them. To say it is all so new, the lake was lovely and the wildlife was starting to establish itself. We even had a Duck and her Ducklings swimming alongside us, and several dragon flys’ hovering by.” Read more about their stay HERE
September – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Jane from Hodgepodge Days says “Monday arrived and it was time for us to leave Center Parcs. We packed up and went for one last play in the playground. We had one last swim and one last picnic lunch by the lake in the sunshine. All told it was a fantastically restful weekend” read more HERE
October – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Caro from The Twinkle Diaries says “We played crazy golf; an experience that was made all the better for the little ones with a smoke machine in an enchanted castle. We also spent a happy couple of hours playing on a man-made beach that had a fantastic play area for the kids. We spent lots of time in the Subtropical swimming paradise which the twins absolutely loved.” Read more HERE
November – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Jane from Hodgepodge Days also visited in November she says “Center Parcs is littered with playgrounds and is incredibly bike friendly. You could easily get away with not booking and paying extra for any activities at all. There are a few free things around the village, trim-trails and so forth to keep you occupied.” Read more HERE
Claire from The Pramshed says “We also pre-booked a visit to Baby Owls that is one of Center Parcs baby friendly activities. We arrived on a fairly cold morning to a number of different owls already set out on their perches. Some were tiny, and others were huge. Our daughter liked to point and shout at them, as they moved around.” HERE
December – the best month to go to Center Parcs?
Jade from Raising The Rings says “Without a doubt, if you’re staying at any Center Parcs resort, I’d recommend hiring the bikes! You just need to have them back in the cycle centre by 10am on the day of your departure. Oh, and if you’re going in the winter months, don’t forget to take your gloves because your hands will basically freeze and fall off!” Read more HERE
Tracey even spent Christmas Day at Center Parcs! Read more HERE.
Jess from Mummy of Boy Girl Twins wrote a guest post for us. she says “Leaving the car behind at the car park and not using it all weekend is lovely, but it makes you realise how lazy you are back at home! It was quite cold all weekend, although we wrapped up warm and didn’t mind at all. Sadly there wasn’t the snow that was promised on the forecast – and so there were no snowmen built this weekend!” Read more HERE

Thank you for featuring my review for April, Karen. Fabulous post for parents trying to make the important holiday decisions!
Lots of good reasons when to go, shows it is an all year round destination, but I think it will be June for us next year. Our teen will have finished exams & we’re hoping to take the dog this time, I’m really looking forward to it.
I really love Center parcs all year around, as long as it’s off season and not overly packed! We are off again in a couple of weeks to one I haven’t visited before, and I am really looking forward to it! 🙂
I can imagine you’d have a great time in most months – there’s lots indoors if it’s colder and plenty outdoors if it’s not raining. I’m not surprised the summer feels busy though, I’m a fan of half-terms for a UK break.
Sounds like there is a lot to do no matter when you visit although I think I would avoid the height of summer if it’s going to be crazy busy.
It just goes to show that Center Parcs is brilliant all year around, and thank you for featuring me. There is no such thing as a bad month as you can always have fun whatever the weather. We have been 3 times when it has snowed in December and January and it has been magical x
Ha! So it’s good all year round 🙂 Center Parcs for me has to be a late spring visit. There’s just so much to do outdoors that we’re hardly ever in our cabin. Mind you I wouldn’t say no to a girls winter break in the spas there!
It’s always tricky with these places. Those of us who are confined to school holidays have to brave the crowds – and I can just imagine the scenes in the swimming pool described here! I think winter might be nice – all those indoor facilities, and walks in the crisp air.
Well it sounds like any month is a winner at Centreparcs 🙂 There’s just so much for families to do come rain or shine. Personally I would love to experience it in the Christmas run up for all things festive. #MondayEscapes
We went the weekend before Christmas for 11 years, it was the perfect family pre Christmas wind down and so magical. We have also been several times in the summer and the end of Jan, I love a post Christmas break as it is something to look forward to x
Thank you for the guide, I wish there would be guides like this for all destinations, as I am stuck for ideas in January and February 😉
#MondayEscapes
We’ve only ever been in September and it was gorgeous as the colours were just turning to golden but the weather was still lovely!
We went to CP over Feb half term this year. It was our first time during school hols and I have to say the pool was crazy busy, I won’t be returning for a while…!
It sounds as if any month makes for a good stay at Centre Parcs. There’s plenty to do inside and out. We visited once when the boys were young and loved cycling everywhere with them in a bike trailer #MondayEscapes
Useful round up. I’ve never been to Centre Parcs, but now I have a child I am beginning to see the appeal! #MondayEscapes
I think I’d like to try in the Spring when the weather is warming up but it’s not too busy. Christmas also looks magical and I could imagine enjoying a warm, cosy cabin!
