You can always rely on the great British weather. In just the last week or so we have gone from scorching sunny days to snow!
We decided to get a gazebo for our garden, so that our tentative plans to socialise with friends could go ahead whatever the weather.
We love being outside whenever we can, but its especially important to us now because it enables us to see people again. We knew that getting a gazebo this spring could double up as a birthday venue/ night out with friends / games room for the kids and their friends in our garden, as well as the perfect addition to our camping gear for our next getaway.
What are the details of the Dome Gazebo from Trail Outdoor Leisure?
The dome shelter by Trail Outdoor Leisure is a spacious 3.5m X 3.5m.
It is a modern, stylish design which is fast and easy to pitch.
It has a light fibreglass frame, guy ropes and peg points to provide stability in the wind.
Depending on the occasion and weather you can modify the shelter to suit your needs – you can remove all four sides to create a free flowing space and you can zip them up again with either wind-breakers – to keep in the heat and protect from the wind (creating more of a tent vibe) or mesh sides to protect from UV rays and insects (perfect for keeping food fresh on summers days, or great for sheltering in on the beach). All of these options are supplied with your purchase – so no additional costs once you have bought it, unlike many other gazebo options where you have to buy the extras.
The shelter also has a roof vent to keep air circulating, a lantern hook for night-time hosting, and inside pockets to store the gazebo accessories.
It is currently on sale – down from £199.99 to £129.99 – an absolute bargain, especially given that it’s such good quality and all the accessories come with it.
What’s the verdict?
We are really delighted with our dome gazebo. The first thing we noticed about it was how lightweight and compact the carry bag is – making it easy to store in the garage or to take on a camping trip. We loved that the assembly instructions are stitched into bag itself – meaning they will never be lost!
The children enjoyed helping us to put up the gazebo, which didn’t take very long, and they very much enjoy playing and sheltering inside it too.
We all love the freedom that having a gazebo gives us. To know that we don’t have to cancel plans to see friends or family if a rain shower makes an appearance- that’s actually pretty priceless right now.
It’s a thumbs up from us. It’s worth every penny. Not just because it’s really great quality, well designed, adaptable and user friendly, but because of the freedom and hope it represents. Now we’ve got the gazebo – it’s time to book the camping trip…
