During the Easter holidays we went to do the Go Ape Tree Top Junior Adventure at Delamere Forest.

My nephews were visiting for a couple of days so I needed to try and find an activity that would keep all the kids happy.  I thought we would all have fun trying out Go Ape Junior but I thought that given the age gap from youngest to eldest, either the twins (aged just 5) or my eldest nephew who has recently turned 11 wouldn’t enjoy it.  I was wrong, they all loved it.

I was impressed that the little ones, who could only go on if an adult went on with them, bravely stepped onto the platforms and off the zip wire, seemingly without hesitation.  However there were two courses and the older ones managed to fling themselves around that quickly and then encourage the younger ones to try it out too.

We had a full hour once you were up on the tops and could go round as many times as you wanted to in that time.  To be honest I was happy with the easiest version, as I scared myself half to death on the Adult Go Ape a couple of yeas ago.

One of my twins was so brave that at times she was so far in front of me you can’t see her on the video we made.

Do check out our video to see what we got up to – who fell – and how the kids handled the zip wires!

NB: We were invited to Go Ape as their guests but all views and opinions are my own.

Why not PIN this!

  1. Katie has done it a few times at Delamere with her brother so thankfully I got to stay on the ground. I think it’s fab they offer the junior course before they are old enough to do the full Go Ape course x
