Sharing is caring!

Today I flew! Yes I actually flew in the air! Only for a few seconds admittedly and in a wind tunnel, but the instructor did let go of me and I spun around a bit on my own. I absolutely loved it.

Years ago when I was 21, I travelled round the world, and I actually jumped out of a plane over Lake Taupo in New Zealand.  That was seriousness braveness on my part, and whilst I don’t think I am still that brave, this experience has reminded me I do love an adrenalin rush from time to time and we should all remember that even though we have families we should make time to have fun ourselves.

This wind tunnel is Ripcord by IFly and is on the top deck of Anthem of the Seas the newest ship from Royal Caribbean.  We were lucky enough to spend the weekend onboard and our full review is here.  Can you believe you can actually take part in this sort of experience on a ship! You can scroll the photos of me above and there is a video below with some footage of someone who is actually very good towards the middle!

  1. That video is fantastic! You look so happy and have a huge smile. I would love to do this. It looks amazing and it is so impressive that you can do it on a cruise ship. The Anthem of the Seas is obviously awesome. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

  2. That is so amazing! I am a bit jealous, but also don’t know if I would have the bottle to be able to do it!

  3. That is so cool! I’m very jealous! I did a tandem skydive when I was younger and would love to do one myself one day and hand glide, I really want to fly! 🙂 xx
