We are huge fans of Splash About here at Mini Travellers. We love their UV Sun Protection Floatsuits which helped our eldest learn to swim! We love their Floatsuits and we love their Float Jackets. This year we have also fallen in love with their UV rash vests and their new designer range L’histoire De Birdy.
Before we went away we had loads of fun trying on the new tops, floatsuits and Lily’s new swim dress and hat (above):
but it was on holiday where everything we took came into its own.
Float Suits
The Floatsuits as ever kept my children safe in the pool. This year it was Izzy and Eve, my identical twins that needed the float suits, as Lily learnt to swim in one last year! They ran around the pool, they swam about in the pool without holding onto me, they played together and they jumped in. They loved the freedom they gave them. They were 5 months younger than Lily was when we went to Lanzarote and she learnt to swim, but take a look at this little video of Izzy. She did it!
Rash Vests
The twins also lived in their Rash Vests. They wore these over swimming costumes, or under their floatsuits. They also wore them just as t-shirts when we went to the beach. The rash vests are on sale at Splash About at the moment and start from £11.98 which is fantastic value. Wearing rash vests means a LOT less sun cream applying so for me this makes them incredibly valuable. What child do you know that likes standing still to have sun cream put on! If you are travelling to somewhere very hot I would recommend the longer sleeved ones as this again means less cream! I recently got asked if they got too hot in them, but the answer is no. They actually seemed cooler in them if anything as there was less sun getting to their skin. They look very cute too!
It seemed a slightly odd concept to me when we ordered it, but Lily looked at the website and said could she have that dress that she could swim in? She thought that was an amazing idea, and continued to think so all holiday. Mummy can I really go in the swimming pool in this swim dress? Then she would giggle and jump in! The dress dried really quickly, and because the hat ‘matched’ she was happy to wear that too, which pleased me immensely as usually I spend the entire time saying ‘put your hat back on’. Clearly it came off when she jumped in and then out and then in and then out of the pool, but that’s what holidays are for aren’t they!
The very kind people at Splash About are giving you the chance to win a Sun Dress and matching hat, and all you need to do is complete the Rafflecopter entry form below. Good Luck!
