We are very lucky where we live as there are lots of places to keep us entertained. But one of the things we like doing best is going on a trip to the farm!

Spring Barn Farm near Lewes is one of our favourites. We discovered it when Lola was still a baby really and as she’s grown we’ve loved watching her enjoy all the different activities that are on offer. It’s not a huge farm but there is plenty to keep little one’s amused for hours.

Lola particularly likes the hay bales, jumping pillows, cars and the tractor ride as well as the animals of course.

There are lots of animals to see from pigs and ducks to donkeys and llamas. You might even be lucky enough to see a pig/sheep race! The really nice thing is that you can meet some of the smaller animals and let your little ones hold them and feed them during the ‘Meet the small animals’ sessions in the barn. There are rabbits, chickens and guinea pigs and they can sit with them on their lap. A brilliant way to introduce them to animals and get their confidence up.

There’s also an indoor play area with slides and little tractors and soft play for really little ones. A nice cafe with good food and a farm shop with some local delights and beautiful products.
The cost is on a par if not cheaper than most of the other farms in the area and you can even book to camp at the site.
We had another great day and enjoy going here throughout the year.
