Choosing where to stay in London can be incredibly confusing. There is simply so much choice. However the landmark hotel Le Méridien Piccadilly right on Piccadilly Circus would be difficult to beat in terms of its central location. Being right in the thick of it, means that you get some quite iconic and traditional London sights from the balcony off the Terrace Grill and Bar where you have your wonderful breakfast. I managed to try smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, coffee, energy juice shot, orange juice, a fruit platter and a muesli yoghurt compot in just one sitting!
At rates of £207 per room per night when you book a two night stay it makes for a very reasonable Central London price, particularly when you find out it has one of the largest swimming pools in Central London too (and free premium wifi) meaning you can have a leisurely swim before hitting the streets for the day.
I stayed there with Sarah (and you can see her review here) whilst attending a travel conference out at the Excel but I would definitely choose to stay there with the kids if we were looking for somewhere that offered that little bit more. I also really fancy trying out their G&T Afternoon Tea next time I’m in town without the kids, or their Jungle Afternoon Tea (including Tiger Sandwiches) if they are with me! Basically I’d just like to go back and see more of this lovely hotel! What do you think?
NB: We stayed at Le Meriden Piccadilly as guests of the hotel but all views and opinions are my own.
