The first thing that is great about this attraction is that it can be done as part of a day trip to  idyllic Lake Windermere (which by the way is just fantastic as a day our in itself(),  it is in a convenient location in the town centre. The second is the very reasonable admission price which is nice as the attraction itself needs only needs a few hours of your time, so is great for short attention spans! Aside from these plus points the attraction is really stunningly and lovingly crafted from the ofset. You start you journey with a nice (not too long child friendly) introductory video about the works of Beatrix Potter and her love for the lake district and then you move through to the main exhibit to experience Beatrix’s imagination come to life! You can see Miss Tiggywinkes laundry, see Jeremy Fishers ‘slippy sloppy house’  and see the nest that the sly fox invited Jemima Puddleduck to make with his dastardly tricks in mind (and many more!!).

Each nook and crevice has something beautiful to look at and my daughter saw it as a great opportunity to explore. She loved Mr McGregors garden, we saw Peter Rabbits blue jacket hanging on the scarecrow just as in the illustrations, and an gold award winning herb and walled garden as presented at ‘The Chelsea flower show’ . All scenes are inspired from Miss Potters wonderful illustrations and your children will not be disappointed, as they are instantly recognisable. There is an interactive exhibit with touch screen tables with digital jigsaws and colouring scenes for little hands and minds to enjoy.
