Theobalds Park Camping and Caravanning Club Site is situated to the north of London, just inside the M25 and outside of the Congestion Charge Zone. We decided to use it for an overnight stop in our caravan when we went to visit the new Gringotts Wizarding Bank attraction in the Making of Harry Potter at Warner Bros Studio Tour London, which is 19 miles away from the Site.
Theobalds Park Camping and Caravanning Club Site is family friendly with a small play park for the kids in the centre of the campsite, a family shower room, a shop, Wi-Fi and washing machines available. It’s also pet friendly but as didn’t take our dog this time we didn’t try out the designated dog walk.
The site is level and has a good selection of grass and hard standing pitches with electric hook up. Ready Camp tents are available and having done Ready Camp twice we can thoroughly recommend them for a glamping holiday. Just a note though, dogs are not permitted in the Ready Camp tents.
Although it was just a flying visit, we were thoroughly impressed with the facilities and friendliness of the staff at Theobalds Park Camping and Caravanning Club Site. As a base for exploring the London or the Hertfordshire countryside it is in a great location. Waltham Cross Station is 2 miles away and the train to Liverpool Street Station takes about half an hour. Tottenham Hotspur’s Training Ground is close by too for any fans!
We’ll definitely be booking again for a stop over on our way back from Elderflower Fields Festival in May when we plan to spend a couple of days exploring London.

LLanystumdwy Camping and Caravanning Club Site Review
We spent Easter at the LLanystumdwy Camping and Caravanning Club Site in our Elddis Autoquest motorhome, with our three children (aged,7, 10 and 11) and our dog. We were joined by 2 other families – one with a motorhome and one who were braving canvas for the weekend.
The site is located on the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales, a five minute drive from Criccieth. It is a short walk along quiet country lanes to the village of Llanystumdwy, which has one pub and a museum dedicated to Lloyd George who lived in the village until the age of 16.
Ravenglass Camping and Caravanning Club Site Review
We recently visited the Ravenglass Camping and Caravanning Club Site in our motorhome, with our three children (aged,7, 10 and 11) and our dog. We have been to the Lakes a lot but never as far west as Ravenglass – a small coastal village in a quiet and quite remote part of the Lakes. The site is just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Ravenglass village…
