Have you ever been on holiday to the North Norfolk Coast? If not why not, there is so much to do and here are 10 things to do on the North Norfolk Coast that shouldn’t be missed in the Summer.
The North Norfolk coastline is one of the most beautiful in England. Great dunes over the beach with traditional wooden beach huts dotted along the edge. It really is picture postcard perfect.

Visit Stiffkey Stores
Stiffkey stores is a little hidden treasure not far from Blakeney. With cakes and curiosities it’s simply beautiful and sets you off on the right foot for a relaxing weekend away.

Wells-next-the-sea
Wells-Next-the-Sea is a vey child friendly place on the North Norfolk Coastline. A little but more slot machine than beach hut but hours of fun for the kids. Grab a load of loose change and the kids will be happy for hours.

Crabbing
Crabbing is legendary on the North Norfolk Coast and a trip would not be complete without spending some hours sitting on the edge of the beach or the harbour with some raw bacon, a bucket and a line. Just make sure you throw them back when you’re done and let them eat some bacon!

The Picnic Hut
When you read the tripadvisor reviews of The Picnic Hut this friendly cafe deserves a mention of its very own. People rave about the fresh crab sandwiches and the cakes, but it’s the milkshakes that my kids would go crazy for.

Brancaster Beach
Consistently busy but consistently a brilliant place to go too. Vast open spaces, tumbling dunes perfect for roly poly’s, paddling in the sea and kite flying. Brancaster beach on it’s own would be a brilliant reason to head to the North Norfolk Coast. You could look to stay at Kittiwake Cottage in Brancaster too with Norfolk Cottages. Throw open the French doors onto the terrace and garden in the summer months and enjoy alfresco dining with friends, or for early risers enjoy your morning cuppa whilst listening to birdsong. There is also a local playing field with play apparatus, tennis court and 5 a-side pitch, just across the road.

Eric’s Fish & Chips
Another trip advisor favourite for Norfolk here. Friends visited last year and were blown away by the service and the quality of the fish and chips on offer. When you’re having a traditional sea side break surely it’s the law to actually have fish and chips on the beach at least once and Eric’s Fish & Chips seems as good as place as any to me!

Hire a Beach Hut for the day
What could make a day at the beach more special than hiring a beach hut for the day. Spread across the North Norfolk Coast, beach huts make a picture perfect back drop to your day at the beach, also providing shade or shelter what ever the day needs. Wells and Walsingham Light Railway
Children will love to go for a ride on the longest 10″ narrow gauge steam railway in the world, through the picturesque North Norfolk countryside! Pushchairs, wheelchairs and dogs welcome too, though check with them if you have mobility needs to ensure they are geared up for your arrival. Visit their website for more details.
Once you’ve been on the railway you can get off in Walsingham. Walsingham also has an Abbey and a farm shop. It used to have a chocolate deli too but this has now moved to Wells-Next-The-Sea.
If you’re planning on a trip to Walsingham, why not look at staying in Walsingham itself. This property Winch Cottage which can be rented through Norfolk Cottages looks great for a trip to this part of the world. Great Walsingham is an ancient and peaceful North Norfolk village, with an award winning pie maker and Cafe, craft centre, gift shop and only four miles inland from the coast

Chocolate Deli
At The Chocolate Deli they get very excited about chocolate and love finding or inventing new ways to use it. They believe that chocolate should not only taste good but also look great! Chocolates sold here are lovingly made by them in their shop/workshop in Wells-Next-The-Sea where you can go and watch them make your chocolates!

Cromer Pier
There are apparently records of a pier in Cromer back as far as 1391, although then it was in the form of a jetty. These days the ‘new pier’ built in 1902 is 450 feet (140 m) long and has even been voted Pier of the Year 2015 by the National Piers Society.
Cromer Pier is one of only five UK seaside pier’s with a full working, flourishing theatre and home to the only end of pier show of it’s kind in the World! The Cromer Pier Show now in its 41st year has been enjoyed by generations of visitors and has received 5* by the famous “The Stage” A “must see” show for the whole family and should be on everybody’s bucket list.
I really hope it’s the sort of show where pie gets in everyones faces but if you’ve seen it please do let me know. It’s a must see for me, just to find this out!

What a lot of things to do in North Norfolk, it looks like a great place to visit.
I’ve never been to Norfolk and we have recently talked about wanting to go. Sounds like there is plenty to do. Thanks for the useful tips- will start looking into accommodation now and make it happen!
