Wohoo we have smashed our 40k target for this month and we actually now have an amazing 41,200 posts tagged with #UKexplore. Thank you to each and every one of you who joins in with this hashtag community over on instagram every month!
As you know during April we teamed up with the lovely people at Rubbastuff who are giving away one of their amazing Family waterproof picnic mats in a bag. We’ve had one of their waterproof picnic mats for years and it goes everywhere with us as it’s so small and light. Washes well too.
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the fabulous Rubbastuff mat is Rachel of Foxglove & Ivy, a regular contributor to #UKexplore and a very well deserved winning photograph I think you’ll agree. We hope you love your picnic mat Rachel and put it to good use!
So what have we been up to in the UK this last month? Well we’ve had a trip away to New York which took up a lot of our Easter holiday but we also managed to find time for a trip to the New Forest and we spent a beautiful Easter weekend at home spending time with family during a lovely rare sunny bank holiday weekend.

Happy Easter from this team of #MiniTravellers this #EasterSunday. We had a fab day yesterday in the garden on the beach, #bbqing, even took the #kayak out for a paddle on the #westkirbymarinelake. Enjoy your Easter Sunday whatever you’re doing! #wonderfulwirral #lovewirral #wirralwonder #ukexplore
When I am exploring the UK I tag all my UK days out photographs #UKexplore on Instagram and if you aren’t following me over there I’d love you to do so! You can also keep an eye on what we’ve been getting up to.
Just in case you aren’t aware what #UKexplore is, it is our Instagram community that we have invited you all to join in with and share your favourite places across the UK and your outdoor adventures. To join in it doesn’t have to be a photograph one of the 534 National Trust properties (although we do think they are amazing); we want to see your ‘off the beaten track’ spots, too. It could be the most marvellous of meadows, the perfect place for a picnic, the loveliest lake for skimming stones, or rambling routes for running along. Wherever and whenever you’re out exploring, simply take a snap and upload it to Instagram so we can all share in your adventures and explore the UK with you. All we ask is that you use the #UKexplore hashtag so we can find you. You don’t have to be a blogger, anyone can join in and be in with a chance to win a National Trust day pass for your family. So without further ado, who have I chosen this month….

This month’s winner of the Day’s Family Pass to a National Trust property of their choice is Victoria Louise posted on their Instagram feed and tagged #UKexplore.
