Whilst the weather has now turned the Summer of 2018 is going to go down in history I think. We’ve had so many lovely sunny days and it’s been lovely seeing all your photos tagged #ukexplore as you’ve been out and about around the UK.

When I am exploring the UK I tag all my UK days out photographs #UKexplore on Instagram and if you aren’t following me over there I’d love you to do so! You can also keep an eye on what we’ve been getting up to. I’ve managed to find a couple of UK based photos from August.

This Summer me and the girls spent some time hosted in North Yorkshire with @SykesCottages. Sykes Holiday Cottages challenged us to find some of North Yorkshire’s best kept secrets and to try out some of the counties lesser known activities whilst staying in the area. #BucketListBreaks #sykescottages #ad We stayed near Richmond at The Cartshed Sedbury Farm Cottages in Gilling West. The Cartshed is in the grounds of a small working farm (you can go for a little look round on the pick up like we did) and is a beautiful barn conversion. Two bedrooms at opposite ends of the barn with their own stunning en suites provide beautiful accommodation for up to 6 people, although 4 people will find the accommodation most comfortable. Hanging out with these crazy kids and their Mothers in our epic camp site set up (@thetwinklediaries @rainbeaubelle @otisandus.blog and @travelynnfamily (kids off camera) at @justsofestival has been absolutely fantastic this weekend. We’ve laughed so much, drank cocktails and generally hung out wearing crazy hats, clothes and glitter. What more could you ask for!Just So festival really is a fab festival if you’ve never tried one with the kids before. It’s designed for the kids rather than an adult festival that’s family friendly. Yesterday we spent a really blustery rainy day in Blackpool! It’s only about 20 minutes (if that from @ribbyhallvillage) Luckily Blackpool is perfectly set up for typical English summer weather and we treated the kids to some time in @coralislandblackpool and then me and Dad went onto @sealifeblackpool to feed the large turtle Lulu! Just in case you aren’t aware what #UKexplore is, it is our Instagram community that we have invited you all to join in with and share your favourite places across the UK and your outdoor adventures. To join in it doesn’t have to be a photograph one of the 534 National Trust properties (although we do think they are amazing); we want to see your ‘off the beaten track’ spots, too. It could be the most marvellous of meadows, the perfect place for a picnic, the loveliest lake for skimming stones, or rambling routes for running along. Wherever and whenever you’re out exploring, simply take a snap and upload it to Instagram so we can all share in your adventures and explore the UK with you. This month’s winner of the Day’s Family Pass to a National Trust property of their choice is LifeThruMyLens with this gorgeous shot of the South Bank in  London

Life is like a “Merry Go Round”, so hang on tight! . A walk around the South Bank area in London is always a vibrant experience. The crowd is a blend of , tourists- trying to find their perfect vacation moment , locals – who love to get lost in the crowd once in a while, kids- running around , enjoying the last few days of summer, lovers making out time for each other at the end of a tiring day etc etc. . . One if the main attraction for me is this Merry Go Round- i love the sound of laughter i hear & the excitement i see on the little faces. I am guilty of have ridden it a couple of times too ( thankfully they have no age restrictions) . . . But today ,it was about capturing all that in a frame. 2. Add the #UKexplore hashtag.
3. The challenge runs from 00.00 on the first of the month to 23.59 on the last day of the month.
4. Only photographs uploaded during those times are eligible for that month’s competition.
5. Winners will be announced on Mini Travellers and Podcast on the second day of the following month and will be notified on Instagram.
6. Winners have 28 days to provide their address in order to receive their National Trust Family Admission Day Pass (exclusions apply and can be made available upon request). The pass can be used by up to 1 adult and 3 children, or up to 2 adults and 2 children for one day only. There is no cash alternative.
7. Including the #UKexplore hashtag indicates approval for the images to be posted on Mini Travellers and Podcast, and the corresponding social media channels.
