Sharing is caring!

We were lucky enough to be sent a pack of Weird But True playing cards at the start of half term. We had my nephews and niece staying over the holidays so they were thoroughly tested by a range of children aged from 3 to 13. Oh, and I might have sneaked into the games once or twice too – can’t let the kids have all the fun!

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve heard some of the facts now – they are certainly weird but true! On more than one occasion I was asked to find out more information about one of the facts, so they definitely spark conversation and interest in a range of topics from the human body to whistling in space. Don’t expect to be able to read quietly and let the kids get on with their game as they get so excited about some of the facts that they will want to tell you most of them!

As playing cards, it took some time to get used to how small the number and suit was in the corner of each card, but that got easier with practice and it wouldn’t put me off. I love the fact that one small box contained enough information to keep my 7 year old entertained for ages and that they could then double up as a game for the whole family or just for the grown ups as playing cards. Definitely one that will be packed for future breaks.
