We have family living in and around Appleby and we usually stay with them, however this time we went with our dog (puppy at the time) and decided to stay in a caravan. We are not into Haven or very lively sites and found this little gem hidden away just outside Appleby. We booked to stay at Wild Rose Park through Hoseasons.
What a beautiful spot and the caravan park is nestled away on a country lane. The staff were very helpful and polite. The site was very clean and quiet. It has a little Bar/Restaurant where you can also take your well behaved dog into for a drink of an evening. Wild Rose Park has an outdoor pool (open in the summer). They have a shop that sells the essentials and were just about to open a salon. We visited in Easter Holidays, and you would not have known it was the School Holidays as so peaceful. The caravan we booked was the Platinum and still accepted the dog. The best caravan we have ever stayed in, pure luxury with central heating, double glazing and proper sofas and beds!

Will we go back… Yes without a doubt. Wild Rose Park is a great place to stay to see the whole of the Lakes as well as nipping into North Yorkshire.  Especially if like us you are a family who likes to get out and about, get your children walking and see the most picturesque places in England!!!
